What is the difference between third-party and comprehensive cover?

Third-party cover is the legal minimum and only pays for damage you cause to others. Comprehensive adds own-damage cover for your bike — theft, accident, fire and natural calamity — which matters in Chennai given monsoon flooding risk.

Will I lose my No Claim Bonus if my policy lapsed?

NCB is generally retained if you renew within 90 days of expiry. Beyond that it usually resets to zero, so renew as early as possible.
